Academy Analyst Placement at Coventry City Fc

The Role Coventry City Football Club is in search of dynamic and forward-thinking individuals (max 2 to ensure the successful candidates maximise their experiences/learning) to become part of our Academy Performance Support team on a voluntary basis for the entirety of the 2025/26 season. The chosen candidate/s will ideally be looking for a placement as part of a sandwich year on their course to collaborate with and support the Performance Analysis Department across all age groups within the academy, ranging from U9 to U21. 100% of full-time Performance Analysis Staffs entry point into the Academy was as a placement student or part-time member of staff (our entry level positions). Our goal is to offer an insight into the professional sports industry while encouraging candidates to consistently grow both personally and professionally. Initially, the role will involve observation and shadowing, progressing to full integration into daily departmental operations. Further advancement opportunities will be provided based on the candidate's demonstrated trustworthiness and eagerness to learn. Roles & Responsibilities • Film fixtures and training sessions throughout the 2025/26 season. • Engage in daily communication with players and MDT. • Maintain a comprehensive record of attendance, continuing professional development (CPD), and actively participate in the coaching development program. • Undertake both short- and long-term projects tailored to the role and your academic curriculum. • Acquire knowledge and provide support to staff in various tasks, including but not limited to: Filming: Training, Fixtures and Individual ILP Sessions. Analysis: Use of SportsCode and Hudl Studio to enhance video feedback. Data: Databasing individual and team data from fixtures and training. Statistical Report: Presenting data to the MDT and players in various appropriate formates, WyScout etc. Roles & Responsibilities • Enrolled on a university degree, preferably with a sandwich year as apart of the course. • Display a growth mindset and willingness to engage in personal development. • Be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. • Ability to communicate effectively. • Live within a commutable distance of the training ground. • Be passionate about working with and developing young people.
