Job Description
To support Edinburgh Rugby’s analysis team by delivering top-quality performance insights to a driven coaching group. You’ll play a key role in providing clear, applied analysis before, during and after games, helping an ambitious club and team push for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Analyst Delivery
• Provide accurate and consistent methods of analysis to the Lead Analyst and Coaching team
• Lead the analysis provision at training sessions
• Deliver in-game and post-match analysis reporting using Hudl Sportscode, Tableau, Excel
• Deliver and present in-depth opposition insights and analysis using video and data • Manage all game and training footage for archiving and future use
• Design and produce high-quality presentations using software (Keynote, Hudl Sportscode, Prezi) and video (Hudl Studio, Final Cut) for analysis meetings
• Manage and maintain all analysis hardware and software, liaising with other departments for support as needed Development, Education and Innovation
• Support organisation of contractors and student placements throughout the season, sharing best practice and upskilling them where required
• Continually seek to upskill your own development
• Proactively develop new, innovative methods and stay up to date with technology enhancements in order to improve insights and gain competitive advantage
• Educate players and coaches on the use and value of video analysis, upskilling on the use of software and online analysis platforms
• Work collaboratively with other Edinburgh Rugby departments on cross-functional projects and research

Knowledge & Experience
• Experience as a Performance Analyst with at least 2 years’ experience in professional sport
• Previous experience as working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of rugby union, previous playing or refereeing experience is advantageous
• Experience working with performance analysis and IT software including: Hudl Sportscode, Studio, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, imovie/Final Cut
• Excellent IT skills • Ability to think outside the box and drive standards
• Experience of working to deadlines in a demanding and fast-moving environment
• Be self-driven and highly organised with a great attention to detail
Working Logistics
Location: Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Edinburgh
Working pattern: Full time, with the ability to work flexible hours; due to working in professional sport this will include unsociable hours and weekend working
Contract type: Fixed term, 2 years
Reports to: Lead Performance Analyst, Edinburgh Rugby
