About The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Fraud Analyst to join our Fraud Analytics team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Fraud Operations, Product, and Analytics teams to translate complex data into actionable insights. Your primary focus will be to identify, monitor, and mitigate fraud risks while ensuring a seamless experience for legitimate users. You will play a key role in surfacing emerging fraud trends, assessing risk levels, and developing strategies to protect our platform and players. This position offers an exciting opportunity to directly influence fraud prevention measures, optimize risk controls, and contribute to the stability and integrity of our platform. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with high-volume transactional data, enjoys problem-solving, and possesses excellent communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk analytics, fraud detection, or a related data-focused role
• Experience within online gaming, Daily Fantasy Sports, or fintech industries is preferred
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Python experience for automation, modeling, or statistical analysis is a plus
• Understanding of common online fraud vectors, including payment fraud, identity theft, and bonus abuse
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in analysis
• Ability to balance fraud risk management with maintaining a positive user experience
• Organized, reliable, curious, and a team-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver analytical reports that effectively inform fraud prevention strategies and protect the platform
• Create, document, and maintain intuitive dashboards and reusable analyses to monitor fraud performance and key risk indicators
• Translate complex datasets into clear visualizations and concise insights for non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with Engineering, Fraud Operations, and Product teams to identify and address data gaps, performance issues, and process inefficiencies
• Conduct in-depth analyses of fraud trends to support strategic decision-making and risk mitigation efforts
• Handle ad-hoc data requests related to fraud patterns, product initiatives, and risk assessments
• Stay updated on emerging fraud vectors and continuously improve detection and prevention methodologies
• Assist in designing and refining fraud controls to minimize false positives and enhance user experience
