2. About the Opportunity:
The
Data Product Owner
is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of data products related to football and player health and safety. The role ensures that data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and well-governed, focusing initially on migrating data from legacy systems to a centralized platform. This position collaborates with interdisciplinary data teams and stakeholders to align strategic priorities and execute data initiatives that support the organization’s objectives.
3. Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of data products in football and player health and safety domains
- Ensure end-to-end data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and well-governed
- Manage migration of data from legacy environments to the central data platform, Gridiron
- Collaborate with cross-functional data professionals and stakeholders including Data and Analytics teams, League, and Clubs
- Connect strategic business and data requirements with technical execution
- Prioritize and manage deliverables with interdisciplinary data teams
4. Requirements:
- Established background in data and technical depth
- Experience building data products from the ground up
- Strong product and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Motivation to deliver tangible results in a dynamic environment
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
