Data Scientist at DAZN
Job Description
Why Join DAZN?
DAZN is redefining how fans around the world experience sport. As a global sports streaming platform, we operate at the intersection of live sport, technology, and data — delivering premium content across multiple markets and sports.
Joining DAZN in London or Leeds means working in a fast-paced, international environment where speed to insight matters. This role sits close to marketing and growth decision-making, enabling rapid experimentation, modelling, and tool development that directly impacts performance.
The Role: Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist within DAZN’s Central Marketing team, you will focus on rapid analytical product development, experimentation, and advanced modelling. This role exists to accelerate insight and decision-making where traditional delivery routes would be too slow or resource-intensive.
You will build lightweight models, tools, and prototypes that help teams test ideas quickly, understand causal impact, and act within critical opportunity windows — complementing existing analytics and engineering capability rather than replacing it.
This is a hybrid role based in London or Leeds.
- Develop predictive, forecasting, and optimisation models to support marketing and growth decisions
- Build rapid prototypes, tools, and analytical products to enable “fail fast” experimentation
- Design and analyse incrementality tests and experiments
- Support MMM and MTA evolution through advanced modelling and scenario analysis
- Partner with marketing analytics and research teams to operationalise insights
- Translate advanced modelling outputs into usable decision tools
- Identify opportunities where automation or modelling can materially improve speed or quality of decisions
- Work pragmatically with central tech and data teams where solutions need to scale
- Strong experience in data science applied to marketing or growth problems
- Advanced Python and/or R skills
- Experience with experimentation, causal inference, or incrementality testing
- Solid SQL and cloud data experience (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
- Ability to move from problem definition to working solution quickly
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts simply
- Commercial mindset with bias toward impact over perfection
