Job Description

England Rugby is recruiting an England Women’s Pathway Analyst to join its Performance Rugby team, providing integrated Performance Analysis support across the Women’s pathway.

Working across the England Women’s U21, U18 and Player Development Group (PDG) programmes, the successful candidate will deliver a broad range of Performance Analysis services designed to enhance player development, learning and the coaching process.

The position combines in-camp and competition support with coach-led performance and player-development projects, offering an opportunity to influence the development of players throughout the England Rugby pathway.

  • Deliver integrated Performance Analysis support across the Women’s pathway.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to support the Player Development Group.
  • Support Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and Annual Playing Programmes (APPs) for identified players.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Women’s Pathway framework.
  • Monitor identified players throughout the pathway.
  • Work collaboratively with coaches and the wider pathway team to improve analysis processes and player-development impact.
  • Deliver coach-led analysis projects.
  • Support the management and aggregation of pathway data, including game time, competition exposure and player tracking.

The role has a strong emphasis on using analysis to improve the player-learning environment. Applicants should have experience or understanding across areas including:

  • Player-development projects.
  • Learning environments.
  • Data visualisation and presentation tools.
  • Video and data capture.
  • Feedback methodologies.
  • Player-development data analysis.
  • Report design and dissemination.
  • Online databases and data interrogation tools.
  • Degree-level qualification in Performance Analysis or a related subject.
  • At least two years' relevant practical experience within Performance Analysis or player development.
  • Experience using Performance Analysis software and video production/analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of rugby, supported by a demonstrable portfolio of work or experience.
  • Understanding of the coaching process and how analysis can influence it.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary environments.
  • Confidence operating within elite/professional sport.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Full Driving Licence.

Although the role is listed as remote, candidates must be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to support pathway activity, camps and competitions. The position also requires a DBS check.
