Job Description
Manchester City are seeking an Individual Performance Analyst to support player development across the Academy, working at the intersection of performance analysis, player development, and data insight.
Working within the Academy Performance Analysis team, the successful candidate will help deliver evidence-informed recommendations that support player progression, individual learning plans, and long-term pathway decisions.
Individual Performance Analyst – Academy
⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Support the tracking, analysis, and reporting of individual player development across the Academy
- Work closely with coaches, analysts, and player development staff to provide evidence-based insights
- Contribute to player reviews, learning plans, and progression discussions
- Manage player databases and development tracking systems
- Capture, analyse, and interpret training and match performance information
- Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Support multidisciplinary teams in understanding player progression and future development opportunities
- Contribute to strategic projects focused on data capture, reporting processes, and emerging technologies
Essential Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, Coaching, or a related field
- Multi-year experience supporting performance analysis within youth or professional football environments
- Strong understanding of EPPP, football tactics, player development, and performance reporting
- Experience using analysis technologies and performance data tools
- Excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
