Job Description

Vancouver Rise FC is an ambitious new professional women’s soccer team competing at the highest level in the Northern Super League. As the inaugural champions of the 2025 NSL season, we are committed to continuing to grow women’s sports, fostering community engagement, and delivering a first-class experience for our players, staff, fans, and partners. Position Overview The Analyst will support the coaching staff and Sporting Director by collecting, interpreting, and presenting performance data related to players, opponents, and team tactics. This includes providing analytical insights for player recruitment and squad planning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and experienced with modern analysis and scouting tools used in professional soccer. Key Responsibilities Match & Performance Analysis •       Record, code, and analyze First Team training sessions and matches to support performance review and targeted development. •       Develop match specific KPIs and performance objectives as directed by the First Team coaching staff. •       Provide live match tagging, halftime support, and immediate post-match access to tactical footage. •       Produce post-match analysis, including team metrics, tactical moments, and individualized player clips. Opposition Analysis •       Develop and present scouting reports and video analysis of each opponent to the First Team coaching staff. •       Manage detailed libraries of videos and scouting reports of opponents. •       Effectively and efficiently communicate content in reports/videos to First Team coaching staff. •        Provide and present detailed analysis on opposition's set plays and provide suggestions on how to defend/attack from set play situations. •       Provide feedback to performance department on technical/tactical elements from a medium/long term team/individual perspective. Filming, Recording & Editing •       Ensure all First Team training sessions and matches are filmed and recorded as directed by the coaching staff. •       Manage club video equipment and inventory to ensure all systems are functional and accounted for. •       Travel with the First Team to record away matches and provide analysis support when required. •       Create highlight packages and tactical video content as directed by the Head Coach. Video Library & Distribution •       Manage and maintain the club’s video and data databases, ensuring content is accurately catalogued, searchable, and secure. •       Distribute video content, including raw footage and analyzed clips, to coaches and players in a timely and efficient manner. •       Support coaching staff with video use for individual development planning and review processes. • Ensure all match footage and required video assets are uploaded in compliance with NSL guidelines and league mandated deadlines. Recruitment & Scouting Support •       Conduct video based scouting to support player identification and evaluation as directed by the Sporting Director and recruitment staff. •       Assist with data driven evaluations, scouting reports, and monitoring of potential domestic and international targets.
