Job Description
Working closely with coaches, analysts, and multidisciplinary staff, the successful candidate will help deliver key data-driven insights to support tactical preparation, player development, executive reporting, and long-term research projects.
First Team Data Analyst
⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Deliver performance data insights to coaches and analysts
- Support pre- and post-match reporting workflows
- Assist with opposition profiling and individual learning plans
- Develop dashboards, player profiles, and visualisation tools
- Query, manipulate, and analyse complex football datasets
- Build custom metrics and longitudinal research projects
- Translate data into actionable football insights for technical staff
- Support club-wide data strategy and best practices
Essential Requirements
- Qualification in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, or Data Science
- Experience using Tableau or equivalent visualisation software
- Experience working with football data in a professional club environment
- Ability to communicate data insights effectively to non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn
⭐ Desirable
- Experience with R, Python, or SQL
- Strong understanding of football tactics and technical analysis
- Evidence of ongoing CPD or analytics certification
