Job Description
Swansea City AFC are seeking a First Team Opposition Analyst to lead opposition analysis across all EFL Championship and domestic fixtures.
Working within the First Team Analysis department, you will deliver detailed tactical insights to support match preparation, strategy, and in-game decision-making.
First Team Opposition Analyst
⚽ Key Responsibilities
• Lead opposition analysis for all fixtures
• Analyse tactical structures (build-up, pressing, transitions)
• Identify key players and tactical matchups
• Produce pre-match reports and video presentations
• Deliver analysis sessions to coaches and players
• Provide live matchday support and insights
• Maintain a database tracking league trends and opponents
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in elite football analysis (Championship preferred)
• Strong tactical understanding of the modern game
• Proficiency in tools such as Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Genius Sports
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to deliver insights under tight turnaround times
⭐ Desirable
• Degree in Performance Analysis or related field
• UEFA C (FA Level 2) or higher
