What you'll do "
* Deliver live, in - game football analysis of top-tier events from the broadcast gallery, interpreting real - time data, identifying tactical trends, and offering immediate, innovative insights that enhance Sky Sports' live coverage .
* Proactively analyse live games with our biggest audiences in real time, spotting emerging patterns early and providing directors, commentators and presenters with concise, insight driven statistics that elevate our live storytelling.
* Work at speed and under pressure to search, filter and interpret multiple live data feeds, delivering advanced analytics and high impact insight throughout the match.
* Contribute to high - impact broadcast moments, using advanced tools, visualisations and football - specific analytics techniques to highlight industry leading , technical and performance - led narratives.
* Demonstrate strong gallery skills, remaining calm, responsive and decisive in a fast - paced live environment while communicating clearly with producers, directors, presenters and on - air talent.
* Support continuous innovation, helping streamline workflows and develop new analytical processes, visualisation methods and in - game metrics.
* Produce high - quality, concise pregame stat packs that prioritise clarity and relevance, delivering only the most editorially valuable insights under tight deadlines for producers, directors, commentators and the wider production team.
* Support the department's growth, working with managers and senior stakeholders to develop new analytical ideas and maintain best - in - class standards across our football coverage.
What you'll bring" "
Essential c riteria :" "
* Strong knowledge of modern football analytics, including new and emerging metrics, with the ability to apply them accurately and challenge definitions when necessary.
* Deep tactical understanding, including systems, playing styles and game-management principles.
* Experience in live broadcast or high-pressure analytical environments, preferably within sport, TV production or digital media.
* Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly, using tools such as Excel, Power-BI, Datawrapper or similar platforms - with preferable coding experience.
* Excellent live communication skills, able to deliver fast, concise insights to production teams and on-air talent.
* Calmness, resilience and strong time-management, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure and work evenings and weekends.
Desirable skills and experience : "
* Technical confidence, including familiarity with live data systems, tracking feeds and (optionally) basic Python skills.
* A proactive, detail-driven mindset, with strong editorial instincts and a passion for delivering best-in-class football analysis.
