Job Description

Job Title:

Live Sports Data Operations Analyst

Company:

Cloud Consultancy

Location:

Remote (Philippines-based)

Employment Type:

Full-time Role

About Cloud Consultancy

Cloud Consultancy is an HR and administrative services company that manages staffing and people operations for a portfolio of technology clients across Asia. We handle employment, payroll, and day-to-day people management on behalf of our clients, allowing them to focus on their core business.

We are currently hiring on behalf of one of our technology clients — a fast-growing sports data and live event technology company operating across Asia. The client builds and operates real-time data systems for media and streaming platforms, and is expanding their operations team with Philippines-based remote staff. All hires will be employed and managed through Cloud Consultancy.

About the Role

We are looking for senior sports data operations analysts to join our live operations team.

In this role, you will monitor real-time soccer and multi-sport data feeds, execute operational tasks during live sports events, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data flowing through our systems.

This is a senior, precision-focused operations role — not a technical support or IT position. You will be working directly with live sports data during active events, making real-time decisions based on what you see in the data.

The work requires deep familiarity with sports (especially soccer), a sharp eye for data anomalies, and the ability to stay composed during high-pressure live event windows. Candidates who are genuine sports fans — particularly soccer — will have a natural advantage in this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor live soccer and multi-sport data feeds across multiple concurrent events, identifying and escalating anomalies in real time
  • Execute operational tasks within internal dashboards following defined workflows and event parameters
  • Take assigned shifts according to the live sports calendar — shifts are allocated by sport and competition (e.g., Premier League, Champions League, NBA)
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and outcome records throughout each live event window
  • Coordinate with the data and product teams to report issues and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Perform quality checks on incoming data from third-party sports data providers
  • Contribute to building and refining operational playbooks and SOPs as the team scales

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 10–15 years of experience in sports data, data operations, or a related operational field
  • Strong working knowledge of soccer — competition formats, teams, events, and data structures
  • Comfortable handling large volumes of data and working with operational dashboards under time pressure
  • Available to work evening and late-night shifts according to the live sports calendar
  • Supervisor or team lead experience — you have managed or mentored others in an ops environment
  • Clear written English for internal reporting and cross-team communication
  • Self-directed and reliable in a 100% remote setup

Preferred

  • Genuine sports enthusiast — soccer knowledge is a strong advantage; familiarity with other major sports (basketball, tennis) is a plus
  • Prior experience with sports data providers or real-time event data platforms
  • Background in fintech, sports media, or similarly precision-driven data operations

This is not a traditional analytics role. Instead, you will act as a critical operator and decision-maker, responsible for monitoring live sports data feeds, ensuring system accuracy, and intervening when automated processes require human oversight.

You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of data that powers live sports products such as streaming platforms, analytics tools, and fan-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor live sports data feeds across multiple concurrent events (e.g., 10+ matches during peak windows)
  • Oversee performance of AI-driven systems responsible for processing and distributing real-time data
  • Identify and respond to:
  • Data discrepancies
  • System or connectivity failures
  • AI model inaccuracies or blind spots
  • Execute manual or semi-manual interventions to ensure continuity and accuracy of live data
  • Provide structured feedback and inputs to improve AI model performance over time
  • Collaborate with technical teams (e.g., DevOps, Engineering) to escalate and resolve system issues
  • Operate effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment tied to live sporting events

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in:
  • Data operations
  • Real-time analytics environments
  • Trading, monitoring, or operational control functions
  • Proven experience in a Team Lead, Supervisor, or senior individual contributor role
  • Strong background working within SOP-driven, operational environments
  • Demonstrated ability to:
  • Handle live incidents or system failures
