JOB TITLE: Manager, Projects & Facilities
REPORTING TO: Senior Manager, Facilities Operations & Senior Project Manager
DEPARTMENT: Infrastructure
LOCATION: Queens, NY (Primary), & Orangeburg, NY
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary role of the Manager, Projects & Facilities, is to lead and be responsible for the Support and delivery of all projects and facilities management services and processes that support the operation of Etihad Park Stadium, Etihad CFA New York and Manhattan office, setting and ensuring the highest standards of the operational environment for NYCFC employees, customers, and players. In addition, you will also be responsible to manage and develop infrastructure projects and direct works on capital schemes in the pursuit of best value, client-responsive undertakings, sustainability, and adherence to schedule, budget and to local, state and national regulation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• To support and coordinate non-major capital projects at CFA and/or other football specific venues the club invests in, ensuring compliance in terms of all regulation and statutory obligations and project financial control and to ensure that projects’ undertakings are reported/recorded with actions progressed.
• To lead and support the performance of the onsite facilities management team, including setting performance indicators, monitoring results, and delivering improvements in the quality of the facilities services delivered at CFA New York and Etihad Park Stadium
• To ensure the monthly planning and day to day operational use of the site is to the highest standard, in line with core business requirements, health and safety compliance and best practice.
• To support and lead by example to develop and motivate the facilities management site delivery team to embed operational excellence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• To work closely with partners, stakeholders, contractors to provide the most suitable environment for the users of all facilities.
• Plan and implement regular reviews of operational activities, including processes, practices, and procedures. Latitude to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identify, manage, and develop all work programs, budgets, and the breakdown of CFA facility opex and quality controls.
• Support, VP, Infrastructure & Facilities Management – Americas in the strategic direction and deliver of major capital projects i.e. CFA NY expansion and Stadium Development, and directs works under FFE.
• Lead onsite safety oversight by coordinating site tours and walkthroughs, issuing PPE, supervising visitors, and partnering with contractors through daily site walks and safety meetings to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Actively contribute to the wider CFG Infrastructure awareness and intelligence-building.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
WHO YOU ARE:
• A minimum 5 years projects and/or FM supervisory related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Leadership of Facilities Management teams.
• Effective communicator, able to influence teams and individuals, capable of working on own and driving new initiatives.
• Successful track record of project execution
• Setting targets, monitoring outcomes, achieving results, and working towards continuous improvement.
• Drives high standards and delivers robust FM practices which are KPI driven.
• Good level of computer literacy including working knowledge of FM software, able to demonstrate good customer service skills. Able to carry out admin work to maintain procedures, records and produce reports.
• Detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation/ best practice.
• Building management systems and their application.
• Managing contracts and use of performance indicators.
• Managing budgets and financial processes.
• Awareness of the local requirements of regulation in New York City and State and in respect of US national legislation as it applies to capital projects, land acquisition and management.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
