Mascot Assistant (Part-Time) at San Antonio Spurs

We are seeking Mascot Assistants to join our team! This role offers hands-on exposure to the entertainment and experiential side of sports marketing. Mascot Assistants work closely with the San Antonio Spurs (NBA) organization, supporting both on-site and off-site mascot appearances and helping bring mascot performances to life. In this role, Assistants serve as the voice and ambassador for the mascots, represent the organization at community events, and help deliver engaging entertainment experiences for fans. Mascot Assistants may also assist during games and, when needed, perform as costumed characters. What You’ll Do: • Assist mascots during appearances and games throughout San Antonio, Austin, and surrounding South Texas areas. • Deliver a high level of customer service to internal and external partners, event coordinators, and fans. • Support event preparation activities, including event logistics, and the setup and breakdown of supplies and props. • Assist mascots with creative performance planning and execution for San Antonio Spurs and Austin Spurs games and events. • Perform additional related duties as assigned. Who You Are: • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Reliable transportation and the ability to successfully pass a background check. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively in front of large groups and with children. • Reliable means of communication, including a personal cell phone and email access. • Outgoing, adaptable, and resourceful personality • Self‑motivated, proactive, and highly driven. • Strong attention to detail. • Previous entertainment or performance experience prefe Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand for a long period of time. • Must be able to hold 25 pounds for an extended period.
