Job Description

Men’s National Team Performance Analyst To deliver a best-in-class applied performance analysis service that supports a highly driven international coaching team and playing group. This role will be integral to the provision of comprehensive analytical support before, during, and after competition, including the delivery of detailed opposition insights. You will also be responsible for ongoing research into innovative analytical methodologies and for contributing to the growth and development of an ambitious and progressive performance analysis department. Key Responsibilities: • Accurate and consistent monitoring/reporting and analysis of identified players to the National Team Coaches (pre, mid and post competition) • In coordination with the National Team Lead Performance Analyst direct the analysis provision at training as well as the organisation of support contractors and student placements during campaigns. • Delivery and presentation of in-depth Opposition insights and analysis using a variety of delivery methods including video and data • Delivery of In Game and post-match analysis reporting to National Team Coaches and Players verified by quality control measures. (Hudl Sportscode, Tableau, Microsoft Excel) • Management of all National team video and data for archiving and future analysis • Design and produce analysis presentations using software (Keynote, Sportscode, Prezi) and video (Hudl Studio, Final Cut) for scheduled analysis meetings • Develop relationships with key clubs (internal and external) to establish file/video sharing methods to the coaching staff • Develop and maintain relationships with other departments within Scottish Rugby and provide support when instructed by the Head of Performance Analysis • To upskill and educate contractor/student support staff on best-in-class analysis provision • Continually educate players and coaches on the importance of video analysis and upskill on the use of software and online analysis. • Be proactive to develop new, innovative methods of reporting and presenting, and stay in tune with current analysis methods and technologies • Manage and maintain all analysis hardware and software used within the programme and liaise with Baggage master/Team manager on Logistics • May be called upon to support Scottish Rugby central analysis department • Ensure there is a safe working environment for all team members and colleagues, including adherence to all safeguarding policies, protocols Business Enabler ▪ Stakeholder management: you have a strength for collaboration which engages internal and external partners. Think critically about the content and use tools and platforms to communicate in digital ways. ▪ Problem solving & critical thinking: You have a curious mind! You can analyse complex information and different perspectives, and then develop unbiased and innovative solutions to challenges, which are grounded in sound judgement.
