Job Description
Loughborough University's National Tennis Academy (LUNTA) is offering an outstanding placement opportunity alongside its MSc Applied Sport Performance Analysis, providing more than 450 hours of applied practice within one of the UK's leading elite junior tennis environments. The programme supports international players aged 14–18 as part of the LTA Player Pathway, preparing them for professional tennis through an interdisciplinary, high-performance environment.
Working alongside elite coaches and performance support staff, you'll contribute to the delivery of performance analysis across training and competition while supporting player development through data, video and tactical insights.
Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience within an interdisciplinary team while studying for the MSc Applied Sport Performance Analysis at Loughborough University.
- Lead the management and maintenance of performance support data storage systems.
- Record, tag and upload training sessions and match footage to Hudl.
- Plan and deliver player education sessions on game style analysis and opponent scouting.
- Contribute to Individual Development Plans (IDPs) using performance data.
- Support the implementation of the LUNTA Performance Plan through data insights.
- Deliver timely performance reports to coaches and support staff.
- Opportunity to travel internationally with players and coaches.
- Undertake additional duties supporting the performance programme.
Applicants should demonstrate:
- At least one year's experience in performance sport.
- Strong technical, numerical and IT skills.
- Experience using performance analysis software and video analysis tools.
- Experience producing concise analytical reports.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours.
- A genuine desire to develop as a performance analyst.
