Summary The Network and Cabling Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting network and low-voltage infrastructure throughout the stadium and associated facilities. This role is highly hands-on and supports a wide range of systems including networking, broadcast, AV, and structured cabling. Technicians operate in dynamic, high-demand environments, including live events, and must ensure all systems are installed and maintained to high standards of performance, reliability, and serviceability. Job Responsibilities • Terminate, test, and certify multiple cable types, including: • Fiber optic (single mode and multi-mode) using appropriate connectors and polishing methods • Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A Ethernet cabling with RJ45 terminations • XLR audio cabling for AV or broadcast environments • HD SDI and other coaxial video cables used in production, surveillance, or broadcast systems • Additional low voltage cabling as required by project scope • Perform cable routing, labeling, dressing, and rack mount organization to professional standards. • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues using test equipment such as OTDRs, TDRs, cable certifiers, and network analyzers. • Conduct routine maintenance, firmware updates, and hardware replacements. • Document all installations, service calls, test results, and network changes. • Follow established change management and documentation procedures. • Provide on-site technical support and communicate clearly with clients and team members. • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards and best practices while working in diverse environments (offices, data centers, industrial sites, broadcast facilities, etc.). • Install and organize network racks, cabinets, rails, shelves, and cable management systems. • Mount and secure network devices, patch panels, power strips, UPS units, and AV/broadcast gear. ...
