Job Description
In partnership with Henley Hawks, Saracens, and Gloucester Rugby, this placement provides aspiring analysts with valuable hands-on experience supporting both male and female athlete development programmes.
Performance Analysis Placement – Performance Rugby Programme
Key Responsibilities
- Film and analyse training sessions and fixtures
- Code and manage performance data for team selection and review
- Deliver opposition analysis and player feedback sessions
- Support coaches with data-driven insights
- Work within a multidisciplinary performance environment
Development Opportunities
- Use industry software including NacSport, StatSports, Coach Logic & Excel
- Experience filming and producing video footage
- Detailed coding and analysis of performance footage
- Exposure to professional analysis workflows and feedback methods
- Opportunity to contribute to academic projects/dissertations (subject to GDPR)
✅ Ideal Candidates Will Have
- A passion for rugby and performance analysis
- Experience using filming equipment or handheld cameras
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Interest or experience in Sport Science or Performance Analysis
- Confidence using presentation software (e.g. Canva)
