Job Description
Sporting Kansas City are seeking a Positional Technical Scout to support the club’s global recruitment strategy through detailed player evaluation, video analysis, and positional profiling.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and assessing players across global leagues, combining traditional scouting methods with data-informed insights to support recruitment decision-making aligned with the club’s philosophy and MLS demands.

⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor player targets across global competitions
- Conduct detailed multi-game video analysis on players
- Assess suitability to MLS, club philosophy, and game model
- Produce structured written scouting reports and player dossiers
- Create high-quality position-specific video summaries
- Collaborate with data analysts on positional metrics and profiles
- Track scouting decisions within internal database systems
- Maintain awareness of MLS and global tactical trends
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7+ years experience in scouting, analysis, or technical evaluation
- Strong understanding of player recruitment and talent identification
- Excellent video analysis and reporting skills
- Familiarity with scouting databases and video platforms
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Knowledge of MLS and global football trends preferred
