we are currently seeking a Product Analyst to join our Team. The ideal candidate has a passion for youth sports and creating best-in-class software applications that will be used by thousands of youth sports club administrators, coaches, parents and players.

Role Summary

The Sprocket Sports Product Analyst is an entry point into Product Management, designed to develop future product leaders through a combination of customer-facing experience and product execution. This role begins by building a deep understanding of our customers, business workflows, and platform through close collaboration with our Implementation and Client Success teams before expanding into broader product management responsibilities.

Working alongside Product Managers, Software Developers, Implementation, and Client Success, the Product Analyst will help validate new functionality, analyze product performance, support product delivery, and ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product decisions. This hands-on experience creates product professionals who deeply understand our users and are equipped to build solutions that solve real customer problems.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology, enjoy solving complex problems, and aspire to grow into a future Product Manager role.

Responsibilities

Customer & Product Knowledge

  • Build a deep understanding of customer workflows, business processes, and the Sprocket Sports platform through close partnership with the Implementation and Client Success teams.
  • Participate in customer onboarding, training sessions, and implementation activities to develop firsthand knowledge of how clubs use our software.
  • Gather customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve usability, workflows, and product adoption.

Product Development Support

  • Support Product Managers in the creation and refinement of user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
  • Partner with Product Managers to analyze feature performance and incorporate user feedback into product decisions.
  • Assist in backlog grooming and sprint planning by providing data-driven insights.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Execute functional and regression testing on new features and bug fixes.
  • Document test results, identify defects, and collaborate with Engineering and QA to verify resolutions.
  • Support release validation to ensure product updates meet user and business expectations.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Run SQL queries and other analytics tools to retrieve and analyze user and product data.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve product performance and user engagement.

Issue Triage & Support

  • Monitor incoming product issues and feedback from internal teams and customers.
  • Triage, categorize, and prioritize issues based on impact, frequency, and urgency.
  • Collaborate with Software Developers and Client Success to ensure efficient issue handling.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management, Software Development, Implementation, Sales, and Client Success to gather insights and communicate product updates.
  • Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, sprint reviews, and roadmap discussions to bring customer insights into product planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data insights.
  • Experience writing and executing test cases or validating system behavior.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL or other data query languages.
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and translating feedback into product improvements.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn complex business processes and software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The expected base salary range for this role is $60,000โ€“$75,000 annually, with additional bonus and equity opportunities.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
