About the role
We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our engineering team - covering both manual and automation testing, who can validate complex systems end-to-end with strong manual and analytical testing skills, and who can also contribute to automation. Our Web and Desktop applications are micro-services based, running on Python and TypeScript with FastAPI, React, and Electron.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end tests; maintain test plans, cases, and documentation
- Analyze product requirements with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders
- Test and validate APIs and backend services
- Perform SQL-based database testing and data validation
- Investigate issues via logs, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis; track and report bugs
- Support delivery planning by estimating testing effort and surfacing dependencies
- Identify testing risks, gaps, and dependencies early and proactively communicate them to the team and stakeholders
- Contribute to automation testing using C# and/or Python
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial software testing experience, demonstrating Senior-level QA knowledge and ownership
- Strong grasp of QA processes: test design, requirements analysis, exploratory/integration/E2E testing, defect management
- Strong API/backend testing experience with distributed systems (SOA / RESTful APIs)
- Good SQL and database testing/validation skills
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems, including logs and root-cause analysis
- Automation experience, ideally in C# and/or Python — strong QA fundamentals with automation in another language is also welcome
- Basic familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines
- Strong written/spoken English; critical thinker

- Experience testing data/ETL pipelines
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Aerospike
- Experience with Pulsar
- Experience with containerization (Docker + Kubernetes or others)
- Experience with k6
- Hands-on CI/CD configuration/maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Experience in an Agile work environment (SCRUM, Kanban, Scrumban)
- Experience with Git or another DVCS
- Experience working with logs and log analysis tools, including Kibana
