Sports Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) at Sinclair Broadcast Group

KOKH is looking for a Sports Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) ready to jump into one of the most exciting sports markets in the country—Oklahoma City. From the NBA Champion OKC Thunder to powerhouse programs like the SEC’s Oklahoma Sooners, Big 12 Oklahoma State, and a fiercely competitive high school sports scene, this is a market where sports matters; and where great storytelling stands out. We go big with sports coverage, including special programming and in-depth storytelling, so experience producing sports shows—and stepping in as a fill in anchor when needed—is a major plus. If you thrive on creating compelling content beyond highlights and box scores, this is your opportunity to shine. You’ll be expected to produce daily, high-impact content across multiple platforms—television, digital, social, and mobile—connecting with fans wherever they are. What You’ll Do: • Report, write, shoot, and edit dynamic sports stories • Develop original, enterprise-driven content • Cover everything from pro and college programs to standout local high school athletes • Contribute to special sports programming and, when needed, anchor coverage What We’re Looking For: • Sharp news judgment and a passion for sports storytelling • Strong shooting and editing skills • Ability to work independently and hit deadlines • A digital-first mindset with social media storytelling experience Requirements: • Minimum of 2 years of reporting experience; this is not an entry level position! • Experience with live shots is required; LiveU experience is a plus If you’re ready to cover championship teams, tell meaningful stories, and be part of a high-energy sports team, we want to see your work.
