Job Title: Sr. Manager/ Manager, Business Analytics

Department: Business Strategy & Analytics

Reports to: Sr. Director of Business Strategy & Analytics

Job Summary

The (Sr.) Manager of Business Analytics serves as a strategic leader within FC Cincinnati's Business Intelligence Department, responsible for overseeing analytical initiatives, managing a team of analysts, and delivering actionable insights that drive revenue growth, enhance fan experience, and support organizational decision-making. This role bridges data analytics with business strategy, translating complex data into clear recommendations for senior leadership while developing the capabilities of the analytics team.

The Manager will lead cross-functional analytics projects, establish reporting standards, and foster a data-driven culture across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, providing guidance, professional development, and performance management
  • Develop and execute the department's analytics strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and MLS/league initiatives
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive dashboards, automated reporting systems, and KPIs across all business units
  • Support adoption and training of the reporting environment across the organization
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of internal and external reporting across the organization along with data quality of which is reported
  • Manage analytics projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and measurable business impact
  • Lead complex analytical initiatives including predictive modeling, pricing optimization, fan segmentation, and revenue forecasting
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to enhance data infrastructure, tools, and integration capabilities
  • Support the development, build-out, and optimization of the data warehouse, overseeing the entire data lifecycle from ingestion/transformation to ongoing maintenance and secure data export to downstream tools and external vendors.
  • Establish data governance standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols across the organization
  • Foster collaboration between BS&A and other departments to drive adoption of data-driven decision making
  • Identify best practices both within and outside of the sports industry to define how the club can best use data to drive more informed business decisions
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related analytical field; Master's degree a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analytics
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL and statistical programming languages (R or Python)
  • Expert knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and ticketing systems
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations and data security best practices
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
