Staff Accountant at Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are seeking a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by performing a variety of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have technical accounting skills, experience with month-end close processes, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: ·         Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly financial statement preparation. ·         Assist with the review of invoice expense coding and proper approvals for vendor payment processing. ·         Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. ·         Assist in annual league and financial audits. ·         Support in continuously improving the Company’s accounting policies and procedures. ·         Assist in the accounting operations of major events. ·         Assist in the accounting operations of the nonprofit foundation. ·         Prepare various schedules and spreadsheets as requested by supervisor. ·         Assist with various Accounts Receivable requests. ·         Complete other duties as assigned.
