Manchester United are seeking a Technical Scout to play a key role within the club’s first-team recruitment structure, supporting both immediate recruitment priorities and long-term squad planning.

The role combines live scouting, video analysis, tactical evaluation, and data-informed insights to identify and assess players aligned with Manchester United’s playing philosophy and positional requirements.

Technical Scout

⚽ Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee a dedicated positional market
Deliver detailed player analysis using video, live scouting, and data insights
Assess player level, future potential, and suitability for Manchester United
Produce tactical, technical, and developmental scouting reports
Support long-term squad planning and recruitment strategy
Develop positional market overviews and succession-planning insights
Create presentations, telestration outputs, and visual analysis for senior stakeholders
Maintain accurate scouting documentation and player intelligence databases

Essential Requirements

Experience within professional football scouting or performance analysis
Strong tactical and technical understanding of elite football
Ability to contextualise player performance across different leagues and systems
Experience with Hudl, Wyscout, and professional video analysis software
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to integrate data-informed insights into recruitment workflows
Comfortable operating in high-performance football environments
