Role Description
VittNivesh is seeking a Vice President, Quantitative Systems to lead the development and use of quantitative tools that support investment research, portfolio analysis, and financial decision-making.
This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States. The role will work closely with investment research and analysis teams to develop practical analytical frameworks, improve the use of financial data, and support research initiatives across different asset classes.
The Vice President will help establish quantitative processes, evaluate financial data, develop analytical tools, and communicate research findings to both technical and non-technical team members. The position also provides an opportunity to mentor members interested in quantitative finance and analytical methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop quantitative frameworks and analytical tools to support investment research and portfolio analysis.
- Work with investment and research teams to identify opportunities to improve data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze financial and market data to identify relevant trends, patterns, and potential areas for further research.
- Develop and maintain financial models, analytical templates, and research tools.
- Support portfolio analysis, performance evaluation, and basic risk assessment.
- Review data sources and help maintain accurate, organized, and reliable financial datasets.
- Assist with the testing and evaluation of quantitative research ideas using historical data.
- Prepare clear reports, presentations, and research materials based on quantitative findings
- Collaborate with team members to translate financial questions into practical analytical approaches.
- Monitor the effectiveness of quantitative tools and make improvements when needed.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and analytical processes to support consistency and transparency.
- Mentor team members interested in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and related tools.
- Contribute to educational materials and research discussions within the VittNivesh community.
Qualifications
- 18\+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, financial research, data analysis, investment research, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an understanding of financial markets and investment concepts.
- Experience with financial modeling, statistical analysis, or data-driven research.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, MATLAB, Excel, or similar analytical tools is preferred.
- Ability to work with financial datasets and organize, clean, and interpret data effectively.
- Understanding of portfolio management, investment analysis, performance measurement, or risk analysis is an advantage.
- Experience developing analytical models, research tools, dashboards, or similar projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain analytical findings clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Previous experience leading research projects, academic teams, investment clubs, or analytical initiatives is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
