More about the role: As an Account Executive, you'll be a vital part of our team, developing your skills in communication, client service, and project management. You'll work closely with senior team members to support day-to-day activities and contribute to successful client campaigns. You’ll be encouraged to bring your creativity, proactivity, and unique perspective to the role, drawing inspiration from your interests to develop fresh ideas. SPOTIFY - Burson has been on a journey with Spotify for over 10 years, as the Swedish based DSP has moved from a streaming platform dedicated to music, to a true entertainment experience as the business has expanded into podcasts, audiobooks, video, live events, merchandise and more. This role will be part of the Spotify UK team with a focus on building relationships and securing output with publishers in the music, culture and entertainment space. ACTIVISION BLIZZARD - Activision Blizzard is the world’s leading video game publisher, with legendary franchises including Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo and Overwatch. Burson is the retained UK and EMEA communication agency with a remit covering press, influencer and creator and ambassador work, as well as events. This role will be part of the UK team with a focus on newsroom activities. You will need to be someone who lives for media relations, with a focus on staying close to both core gaming and mainstream media to find opportunities for our games. A love of gaming will be a huge positive as you will be deeply immersed in our franchises and telling great stories. What you'll do: • Assist the team on day-to-day communication tasks, including media relations and digital content creation. • Research and write interactive press releases, blogs and reports to a high standard in client format and help organise press briefings, conferences and similar events for clients • Support on content creation demonstrating an understanding of the differences in style, tone and content • Support the team and have a good understanding of the importance of client service; ensure you have mastered the basics: quality control, quality of writing, meeting deadlines, excellent project management, understanding the client’s world they operate in (industry and company) etc. • Attend and contribute ideas in internal brainstorms across the agency • Demonstrate strong inter-personal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise interactions with team members and clients • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, proactively seeking guidance and support from colleagues • Stay on top of industry news and trends in your sector, sharing insights with teams and clients Experience that contributes to success: • A genuine enthusiasm for the entertainment industry, particularly gaming, music, culture, and digital platforms, with an ability to apply this interest to creative client solutions. • Passionate and proactive, eager to develop their career in communications, client service, and project management within the dynamic entertainment sector. • Strong foundational skills in media relations and content creation, including drafting compelling press releases, blogs, and reports, and assisting with event organization. • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality control, ensuring all client deliverables are met to the highest standard and deadlines are respected. • A collaborative team player who actively contributes ideas in brainstorms, seeks guidance, and fosters strong interpersonal communication within the team and with clients. • A curious and adaptable individual who stays informed on industry trends, embraces new challenges, and brings a fresh, proactive perspective to campaigns for clients like Spotify and Activision Blizzard. #LI-CY1 You belong at Burson: ...
