Job Description

Your Role As an Architect in Gensler San Francisco Sports Studio, it’s your job to lead a team to deliver unparalleled sports venues and training center projects. Leverage your industry expertise, design abilities, and technical acumen to drive projects from concept through construction.  You are a seasoned architect and recognized expert in high-profile, design-driven projects and you can lead a team of highly motivated architects and designers. What You Will Do • Lead the Technical effort of projects and ensure overall technical quality of design and delivery for sports venues and training centers • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex design challenges • Oversee technical aspects of projects to be sure they are in concert with project scope, design, budget, client goals, consultant coordination and core requirements • Collaborate with otherleaders across the office, region, and firm to ensure the firm’s standards, guidelines, and best practices are being applied • Lead communication between the project team, clients, contractors, consultants, and building & planning department officials • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs • Assume mentoring of the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering, and leading by example Your Qualifications • Registered Architect • Bachelor’s or higher in Architecture • 10+ years of experience with proven leadership guiding multi-discipline teams on sports venues and training centers • LEED accreditation preferred • Proven performance in directing the delivery and construction process across all phases • Proven sensibility to the design process and ability to interpret and develop creative and technically proficient solutions to design challenges • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills • Knowledge of and comfort using Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office a plus • Expert knowledge of building codes, accessibility codes & standards, building construction, and building system • Previous experience in sustainable design projects is preferable. Especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certification *The base salary will be estimated between $118,000 - $160,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
