Assistant Athletics Director for Ticketing Revenue and Analytics at Dartmouth College
Job Description
Position Purpose
Oversees the ticket office and manages the operations of sales activities within the athletics department. Works with the Associate Athletics Director of External Engagement to develop and implements strategies to meet the department’s sales revenue needs. Acts as administrator of the ticketing software and database (AudienceView), point of sales devices, and financial reconciliation of all sales. Hires and oversees part-time ticket sales staff and maintains the annual budget. Consults with all sales departments to generate revenue strategies that meet the needs of each department involved in sales.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Knowledge of accounting and ticketing procedures
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with faculty, staff and public in a professional manner
- Computer knowledge required.

- Five years of financial/accounting, preferably in ticket sales; experience with a computerized ticketing system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AudienceView/Paciolan and hardware including Ticket scanners, printers, and computers
- Experience working in sales of premium seating, 50/50 raffles, designing other sales initiatives

Description
Ticket Office Management
- Creates and maintains an exceptional customer service environment.
- Demonstrates knowledge of sales office operations.
- Cooperates with area managers to oversee staff, direct operations to meet area goals.
- Generates and implements new initiatives for ticket and service sales in Athletics.
- Provides consultation services related to pricing and sales strategies to all sales departments.
- Participates in the daily oversight of operations for the ticket office.
- Generates and implements long term and/or short-term procedural modifications. Provides information and necessary support services to other areas of the Athletic Department.
- Develops and implements ticketing sales strategies to increase season tickets, group tickets and single game tickets
- Researches and implements new revenue generation ideas for the athletic department.

Description
Ticket Sales and Game Management
- Ensures policies and procedures are implemented, approved, and monitored for the sale and allocation of tickets for ticketed varsity sports.
- Responsible for ongoing communication with ticket purchasers.
- Directs and approves discount and complimentary admission procedures and requests.
- Ensures adherence to all ticket policies and procedures to comply with NCAA and Ivy League regulations.
- Creates and implements new policies and procedures for ticketing initiatives.
- Serves as liaison to the various Athletic Department offices for Ticket and Sales Office policies and procedures relevant to day-to-day operations and upcoming events.
- Develops and implements all ticket pricing and packaging strategies.
- Develops venue-seating plans for alumni, students, faculty/staff, sponsors, VIPs, and public.
- Recruits and hires game-day staff and approves staff payroll
- Manages, in cooperation with other department staff, event ticketing and game access which includes nights and weekends.

Description
Hardware/Software/Database administration
- Troubleshoots software problems.
- Acts as System Administrator for sales software and database
- Configures sales, software access, reporting, email marketing communication and consultation for all sales within athletics.
- Maintains and ensures meeting of industry standards for all software and hardware in the ticketing and sales office.
- Maintains mailing lists and manages communication via targeted emails for ticketing and sales related notifications.
- Serves as liaison between athletics and the college controller’s office.
- Maintains online sales website.
- Provides Customer Record management for all sales departments- ensures accuracy of accounts and requirements for mailing lists, email communications and sales use.
- Builds and provides reports and is responsible for reporting all information from the software database for each department’s sales analysis.

Description
Budget and Financial reconciliation
- Manages ticket operations office budget.
- Maintains files for upcoming and past events. Annotates files regarding complimentary tickets and seats which need to be held for technical requirements, VIP seating and other reasons.
- Submits financial documentation for reimbursement and consignment ticket sales.
- Reconciles all sales and maintains PCI compliance of all sales departments including providing training and hardware for all credit card sales.
- Distributes all funds from sales to appropriate department budgets.
- Maintains and provides access to handheld credit card machines for use across the entire department including reconciliation of revenue to appropriate budgets.
- Reconciles cash receipts, cash boxes, and change funds for daily operations.
