Coordinator - Sports Fields CLTFC at Charlotte FC

Position:                                 Coordinator – Sports Fields (Charlotte Football Club) Department:                         Stadium Operations – Sports Field Management Reporting Relationship:    Manager - Sports Field Management Status:                                     Full-Time (Non-Exempt) Position Summary This role is responsible for the daily execution of the operational plans and procedures for all sporting fields at the facilities operated by Tepper Sports and Entertainment, including Atrium Health Performance Park, and Bank of America Stadium. Primary Responsibilities • Ensure league compliance with MLS and FIFA Quality Pro Field of Play Standards through testing and recordkeeping. • Execute alongside team of Coordinators, and Part-time staff for daily maintenance and field preparation. • Collaborate with supervisor and manager to execute Agronomic, BMP, and IPM programs. • Obtain and maintain a NCDOA Pesticide applicator's license and certification credits. • Operate within the daily schedule of layout, painting, and conversions for all Charlotte FC practice events. • Carry out all daily operational plans, goals, and special projects set by the Manager. • Operate field equipment including mowers, sprayers, tractors, paint machines. • Calibrate and apply pesticides and fertilizers safely and effectively. • Execute an established inclement weather plan to ensure player safety and operational readiness across properties. • Maintain safe, organized, and functional work areas. • Other duties assigned by Director, Sports Fields & Grounds. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Turfgrass Science, Agronomy, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience considered. • 1-3+ Years Experience in the Turfgrass Management Industry. • Experience working in teams that support sports field operations. • Ability to comprehend Agronomic, Best Management, IPM Plans. • Ability to execute multi-Sport field painting, field layout and measurement, and event preparation. • Basic knowledge of pesticide and fertilizer calibration and application. • Experience operating sports field equipment. • Basic knowledge of Sports Field Management, cultural practices and Design. • Must obtain and maintain a NC Pesticide applicator’s license within one year. • Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems under supervision. • Ability to work in the evenings, weekends, and event schedules, including Charlotte FC matches. • Ability to pass pre-employment screens and background checks. Work Environment ·         This position operates primarily outdoors and occasionally within a stadium environment, sometimes in inclement weather. This role is fast paced, with schedules that are subject to change.
