COMPANY BACKGROUND The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park. The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) (2023)  and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Director of Parking oversees all parking operations for the stadium and surrounding contracted parking lots, ensuring an efficient, customer-focused, financially sustainable, and compliant parking program. This role manages strategic planning, daily operations, revenue optimization, technology systems, staffing, contracting, and regulatory compliance across all parking facilities.  The director will serve as the primary liaison among stadium management, city agencies, and internal partners to ensure the success of parking logistics and management for our Club. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and execute long term parking strategies aligned with the operational goals. • Analyze parking demand, utilization trends, and revenue performance to recommend improvements. • Lead planning for facility expansions, upgrades, and technology modernization. • Review event schedules, security posts, VIP movements, and parking plans. • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners as needed. • Oversee daily operations across stadium parking, contracted lots, valet programs, and special event parking. • Ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained parking environment. • Establish and enforce operational policies, SOPs, and service standards. • Optimize traffic flow, wayfinding, and space utilization. • Oversee selection, implementation, and maintenance of parking technologies. • Leverage data analytics for operational performance and customer experience improvements. • Serve as the main point of contact for internal departments, community partners, and city agencies. • Communicate parking policies, changes, and special event plans. • Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate PT parking staff and supervisors. • Promote continuous improvement, safety practices, and professional development. • Ensure adequate staffing for daily operations and events. • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including ADA requirements. • Maintain incident response procedures and risk mitigation practices. • Oversee audits, inspections, insurance requirements, and safety protocols. • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Transportation, Facilities Management or related field. • 5 + years of experience in parking operations, facilities management in a stadium/arena security, or large-scale operations • Experience supervising or leading security personnel preferred • Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills • Excellent communication and coordination skills • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Physical and Work Requirements • Ability to stand and walk extended periods • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • A proactive mindset and a willingness to take initiative • Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment • Strong operational leadership and strategic planning skills. • Knowledge of parking technologies and industry best practices. • Excellent financial acumen and budget management experience. • Exceptional communication, customer service, and conflict resolution abilities. • Ability to manage large teams and multi-site operations. • Strong data driven decision making and problem-solving skills.
