Job Description

Overview Major League Soccer is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition (Temp) to help attract and hire top talent in support of our continued growth. This role will provide contract recruitment support to the organization, focusing on candidate sourcing and placement while supporting process improvements within talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment and be comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. This individual will bring deep expertise in Talent Acquisition and a track record of managing searches effectively while delivering against established benchmarks and timelines. Responsibilities • Build and maintain a network of prospective candidates through proactive recruitment, market research, and ongoing relationship management • Conduct in-depth interviews and candidate assessments, anticipating hiring manager needs and organizational fit • Partner with hiring teams to develop effective sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding strategies while managing expectations aligned with budget parameters • Draft and refine job descriptions; serve as a strategic advisor to internal leaders on role design, competencies, and compensation considerations • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience elevating MLS’s culture and values • Support programs that reinforce diversity and inclusive hiring practices as core organizational values • Support special projects and recruiting initiatives, including process improvements, interview best practices, internal mobility strategies, and talent identification Qualifications Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree • 10+ years of progressive corporate recruiting experience including sourcing and full-cycle recruiting Required Skills • 8–10+ years of progressive recruiting experience, including sourcing and full-cycle recruitment • Experience operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization preferred • Maintain accurate documentation of candidate and hiring manager feedback to support hiring decisions. • Experience supporting candidate lifecycle management, diversity sourcing, and structured interview processes • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and stakeholders simultaneously • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally to build internal and external talent pipelines • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills • Experience developing and executing proactive sourcing strategies • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems • High level of professionalism, integrity, and compliance awareness • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Desired Skills • Knowledge of the sport of soccer Total Rewards Starting compensation $60.00/hour- $70.00/hour;. MLS/SUM compensation is contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
