Job Description
St. Louis CITY SC are seeking an Assistant Video Analyst to support the First Team coaching staff through opposition analysis, video presentation creation, matchday support, and player development insights.
This role will play a key part in match preparation, tactical planning, training analysis, and live in-game decision-making within an ambitious MLS environment.
Assistant Video Analyst – First Team
⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed scouting reports on upcoming opponents
- Create team and individual pre-match video presentations
- Deliver opposition player analysis and starting XI scouting reports
- Contribute to weekly training plans based on tactical and opposition analysis
- Conduct live, individual, and post-match coding for all First Team matches
- Provide live matchday feedback, video clips, and halftime support to coaches
- Distribute individual player clips for development and self-reflection
- Manage video databases and multi-angle footage archives
- Oversee training filming operations and matchday video technology setup
- Travel with the team to all away fixtures
- Maintain analysis equipment, software, and video workflows
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional analysis environment
- Experience using Hudl Sportscode, Opta, Wyscout, SAP Sports One, and related platforms
- Strong understanding of football tactics, sport science, and player development
- Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel extensively with the team
