Job Description

Club Brugge are seeking a Game Preparation Analyst to join the First Team Analysis Department and support one of Europe’s most innovative football clubs through elite opposition analysis and tactical insight.

Working within the First Team environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in translating video and data into actionable insights that support coaches, players, and decision-making processes.

Game Preparation Analyst – First Team

⚽ Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse upcoming opponents using video and data sources
  • Translate analysis into clear, structured insights supported by relevant video clips
  • Produce detailed opposition reports focusing on team structure, tactical patterns, vulnerabilities, key players, and game scenarios
  • Maintain consistency in analytical methodology and reporting standards
  • Work closely with coaches and fellow analysts within the First Team environment
  • Deliver analysis outputs accurately and within tight timeframes
  • Ensure analytical content aligns with coaching requirements and match preparation needs

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong football-specific expertise and tactical understanding
  • Ability to analyse match footage and identify recurring team and player behaviours
  • Experience interpreting and communicating tactical patterns effectively
  • Highly analytical, organised, and detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to process large amounts of information and communicate key insights clearly and concisely
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Reliable, discreet, and capable of operating in high-performance environments with demanding deadlines
  • Experience with video and data analysis workflows
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Hudl Studio, or similar analysis tools is highly desirable
  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and improve existing analytical processes
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous professional development
  • Comfortable working within elite football environments where flexibility is essential
