Job Description
AFC Ajax are seeking an experienced Video Analyst to join their Football Analysis department.
Working within one of Europe's most renowned football academies and first-team environments, you'll collaborate closely with coaches and fellow analysts to deliver high-quality video analysis that supports tactical preparation, player development, and team performance.
- Code and analyse training sessions and competitive fixtures.
- Deliver comprehensive pre-match, live, and post-match analysis.
- Support coaching staff with tactical insights throughout the season.
- Analyse opposition teams, set-piece strategies, and individual players.
- Produce detailed scouting and tactical reports to support match preparation.
- Provide video-based feedback to enhance player and team development.
- Prepare team presentations and video content in collaboration with coaching staff.
- Deliver visual and tactical insights that inform coaching decisions.
- Contribute to player learning through effective video communication.
- Maintain and develop performance analysis databases.
- Organise video libraries to support the club's playing philosophy and long-term development.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in analysis processes and workflows.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Video Analyst within a professional First Team football environment.
- Excellent understanding of football tactics and game principles.
- University degree (or higher) in a relevant discipline.
- Experience using industry-standard analysis software, including:
- Hudl Sportscode
- Hudl Insight
- Angles
- MyVA (or equivalent)
- Interest in football data and performance analytics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability.
- Ability to work under pressure within a high-performance environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Immediate availability.
