Job Description
Swansea City AFC Women are seeking a Women’s First Team Analyst & Coach to support the delivery of elite coaching and performance analysis within the club’s women’s programme.
Based at the Joma High Performance Centre, the successful candidate will work across training sessions, fixtures, and tournaments, helping drive player development, team performance, and the continued growth of Swansea City Women.
Women’s First Team Analyst & Coach
⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of performance analysis and coaching support for the Women’s First Team
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team during training sessions, fixtures, and tournaments
- Plan and deliver individual, unit, and team meetings based on opposition analysis and team performance
- Implement high-performance coaching standards and game principles
- Assist with player recruitment and talent identification processes
- Support communication and collaboration across all age-group coaches regarding player development
- Encourage and facilitate player progression through the club’s pathway system
- Represent Swansea City AFC professionally at media engagements and public events
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all players
- Adhere to safeguarding policies, procedures, and welfare standards at all times
Essential Requirements
- UEFA B Licence holder (or currently working towards completion)
- Minimum three years of coaching and/or performance analysis experience within an elite football environment
- Experience working within women’s or girls’ football
- Strong tactical understanding of football and game principles
- Experience delivering presentations and meetings to individuals and groups
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, and IT skills
- DBS check completed (or willingness to undertake one)
⭐ Desirable
- Postgraduate degree in Sports Coaching, Performance Analysis, or related discipline
- Experience within international football
- Knowledge of women’s professional football environments
- Ability to speak Welsh
