Job Description
Arsenal Women are seeking an Emerging Talent Player ID Consultant to support the club’s talent identification and recruitment strategy across the UK and global women’s football landscape.
Working closely with the Women Player ID Lead, Technical Director, Academy leadership, and Player Pathways staff, this role will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and monitoring emerging talent capable of progressing through Arsenal Women’s pathway.
Emerging Talent Player ID Consultant
⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Expand Arsenal Women’s coverage and understanding of UK and global player markets
- Benchmark current emerging talent within the club's player pathway
- Create and maintain shortlists of high-potential players aligned to Arsenal Women’s playing philosophy
- Conduct detailed analysis and due diligence on prospective recruits
- Attend matches strategically to assess players live when required
- Apply Arsenal Women’s game model and player profiles to all evaluations
- Produce player assessments, projections, and market intelligence reports
- Maintain scouting records and intelligence within the club’s recruitment platforms
- Create video databases and supporting materials on identified targets
- Support the development of a systematic and aligned scouting pathway
- Ensure consistency and quality across scouting processes
- Provide ongoing CPD opportunities for scouts
- Work collaboratively with the Technical Director, Academy Manager, Player Pathways Manager, and Talent ID staff to support recruitment decisions
- Represent Arsenal Women professionally with external stakeholders
- Build strong relationships across the club and wider football network
- Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times
- Uphold Arsenal’s values and safeguarding standards throughout the consultancy period
Ideal Profile
- Experience in player identification, scouting, recruitment, or football analysis
- Strong knowledge of emerging talent within women’s football
- Excellent player assessment and reporting skills
- Understanding of player development pathways and academy recruitment
- Ability to combine video, live scouting, and contextual information to support recruitment decisions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities
