Job Description
Arsenal are seeking a Positional Analyst to join their Football Intelligence department and support the club’s player assessment and talent identification processes across global football markets.
This is a unique opportunity to work within one of football’s leading recruitment and intelligence teams, combining video, live scouting, and data-driven analysis to support recruitment strategy, succession planning, and long-term football decision-making.
Positional Analyst
⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Lead positional talent identification processes for an assigned player group
- Identify, assess, and monitor emerging and senior talent across global markets
- Conduct detailed player evaluations through video analysis, live match attendance, and due diligence
- Deliver high-quality player reports aligned to the club’s football framework
- Support recruitment and succession planning decisions through evidence-based insights
- Combine video, live, and contextual information to produce balanced player assessments
- Utilise scouting platforms, software, and analytical tools to manage player targets and workflows
- Contribute to the continuous development of best-in-class player assessment processes
- Work closely with colleagues across Football Intelligence, Recruitment, and Development Analysis
- Build relationships across Arsenal’s global football network
- Attend matches, meetings, and benchmarking visits with elite sporting organisations
- Present findings and recommendations to a range of football stakeholders
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience within football analysis, scouting, or player recruitment in an elite football environment
- Outstanding knowledge of domestic and international player markets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to integrate video, live, and contextual insights
- Experience using scouting platforms, analysis software, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive within high-performance environments
