Job Description
Chelsea FC Women are seeking a Talent ID Scout to support the identification and recruitment of high-potential players (U9–U18) for the Women’s Academy.
This role will play a key part in expanding Chelsea’s talent identification network, scouting emerging players across the women’s game, and providing evidence-based recommendations that align with the club’s player profiles, playing philosophy, and long-term development objectives.
⚽ Key Responsibilities
- Scout matches, tournaments, trials, and talent identification events across age groups
- Identify and assess high-potential players for Chelsea Women’s Academy pathways
- Build and maintain relationships with grassroots clubs, schools, and key stakeholders across the women’s game
- Produce clear, evidence-based player recommendations and recruitment reports
- Maintain accurate scouting records and player profiling databases
- Work closely with academy staff to align recruitment activity with squad needs and player development plans
- Support the long-term growth and success of the Academy talent pathway
- Ensure recruitment decisions align with Chelsea’s player profile and football philosophy
- Operate in accordance with club policies, safeguarding standards, and governing body regulations
- Act as an ambassador for Chelsea FC’s values and culture
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding across all scouting activities
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in player recruitment or talent identification, ideally within female youth football pathways
- Strong understanding of age-specific player development and player profiling
- Excellent observation, evaluation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- FA Talent ID Level 1 qualification
- FA Safeguarding and FA First Aid certifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently across evenings and weekends
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and organisation
