Job Description

Chelsea FC Women are seeking a U16 Performance Analyst to join the Women’s Academy and play a key role in supporting player development through high-quality match, training, and individual performance analysis.

Working closely with the U16 coaching staff, this role will deliver bespoke analytical support across pre-match, live, and post-match environments, helping young players maximise their development within Chelsea’s academy pathway.

⚽ Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive match and training analysis to support individual player development
  • Attend U16 fixtures and tournaments to film, code, and provide analytical feedback
  • Film and analyse all training sessions aligned to coaching objectives and development plans
  • Produce actionable insights to support technical and tactical development
  • Lead individual and group review sessions linked to Individual Action Plans (IAPs)
  • Deliver age-appropriate feedback to academy players
  • Build positive working relationships that support player learning and development
  • Create engaging video presentations and educational resources to enhance tactical understanding
  • Support pre-match opposition analysis and game-plan preparation
  • Work closely with coaches to align analytical outputs with Chelsea’s game model
  • Provide evidence-based insights that inform coaching and match preparation
  • Manage age-group analysis equipment, databases, and digital workflows
  • Contribute to best practice development across the academy analysis department
  • Support the ongoing use of technology and innovation within performance analysis

Essential Requirements

  • MSc or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Performance Analysis, Sports Coaching, or a related discipline
  • Experience working within elite academy football environments
  • Strong understanding of football tactics, player development, data management, and performance reporting
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary high-performance teams
  • Advanced video and data analysis skills
  • Proficiency with Hudl software, Mac OS, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

⭐ Desirable

  • Experience within elite female youth football environments
  • Football coaching and/or Talent Identification qualifications
