  • Translate tactical profiles from the Head of Recruitment and First Team Manager into focused visual evidence.
  • Maintain a live visual library of active shortlists for presentation to senior staff.

Target Dossiers

  • Build objective scouting dossiers on key targets, incorporating scout reports, video analysis, and financial parameters.
  • Research injury histories, career workloads, and character profiles to inform transfer decisions.

Systems & Information Management

  • Maintain a centralised internal database (e.g. Notion, Airtable, Scoutastic) to log player recommendations, intermediary tips, and scout reports.
  • Keep data accurate, well-categorised, and instantly retrievable.
  • Reduce communication bottlenecks within the department during transfer windows.

Administrative Support

  • Take precise minutes at recruitment and technical meetings and track resulting actions.
  • Keep the Head of Recruitment updated on outstanding deliverables.
  • Handle all transfer-related information with strict confidentiality.

  • Proficient in Wyscout or similar platforms; experienced with structured organisational tools (Notion, Excel, or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of game models and positional profiling

Person Specification

  • Calm, credible and solutions-focused under pressure, particularly during fast-moving transfer windows or high-stakes recruitment decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, able to present complex scouting information clearly to a range of audiences including senior leadership and coaching staff.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple targets and deadlines simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently and take ownership of the recruitment department's information systems and processes.
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven, comfortable working across football and non-football departments to support shared objectives.
  • Discreet and trustworthy, with an understanding of the sensitivity required when handling transfer targets, financial information, and club strategy.
  • Technically confident with scouting and video platforms, and a willingness to continuously develop knowledge of emerging tools and methodologies.
  • Genuine passion for football, with a deep interest in tactics, player analysis, and the role that effective recruitment plays in a club's success.
