Job Description
Wolverhampton Wanderers are recruiting a First Team Scout to join their Scouting & Recruitment department. The role focuses primarily on identifying players capable of progressing into and succeeding within the Wolves First Team, alongside additional coverage of emerging talent.
The successful candidate will scout across a range of countries and positions, with the majority of assessment conducted through video scouting, alongside opportunities to attend live fixtures domestically and internationally.
A significant part of the role is using technical scouting and data-supported identification to create and maintain live player shortlists before progressing priority targets into live scouting.
- Identify players with the required potential and quality for the Wolves First Team.
- Use technical scouting to drive the player-identification process.
- Maintain live and current positional/player shortlists.
- Proactively identify emerging talent alongside senior-player coverage.
- Assess players flagged through data and other internal stakeholders.
- Produce concise, actionable scouting reports.
- Understand player profiles and associated market values/recruitability.
- Identify priority fixtures for subsequent live scouting.
- Build relationships and contacts across relevant football markets.
- Maintain daily reporting through the Club's scouting systems.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of game models, playing styles and player profiling, together with the ability to evaluate current performance and identify future potential. A minimum of one season's experience within a similar role is required.

Applicants must have proven scouting experience within an elite football organisation. An undergraduate sport-related degree and progress towards an FA Talent ID qualification are listed as desirable.
