Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Finance team and manage the group forecasting processes, prepare and appraise capex and strategic investment business cases, and provide analysis and insight for various group functions.

The FP&A Analystwill

  • Prepare Group 5 yr plan including capex/cash investment requirements, including scenario analysis.
  • Prepare the Group budget consolidation including cashflow and covenant reporting. Draw out key themes, analysis and trends from consolidated budgets and forecasts in preparation for presentation to the Executive and main Board of Stewards.
  • Develop existing models for long-term Group Cash forecasting and covenant reporting
  • Develop and operate financial models and analyses to support strategic investment initiatives and new business development initiatives.
  • Critically assess racecourse and other business investment proposals alongside the Racecourse CEO before recommendation to the Group CEO and CFO.
  • Support the FP&A Director with M&A activities.
  • Support FP&A Director and Group Finance Director with ad-hoc presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the annual planning cycle working collaboratively with the wider finance team to ensure that our financial plans are drawn from the understanding of lead measures and built up from clear activity plans.

About you

  • Proven expertise in complex budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across a multi-entity organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and interpret financial models to support strategic investments and business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience consolidating group-level budgets and cashflow forecasts, with the ability to identify key trends and insights.
  • Skilled in preparing complex financial data.
  • Experience working collaboratively across finance and operational teams to align financial plans with activity and performance drivers.
  • Confident in applying benchmarking and KPI monitoring to drive performance improvements and inform strategic planning.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
