About the Opportunity

The

Fraud Prevention Analyst

supports the Risk & Fraud Operations team by identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent ticket transactions. This role helps protect revenue and maintain a seamless purchasing experience for legitimate customers by detecting fraudulent orders, bot activity, and emerging fraud patterns.

The position requires strong analytical and investigative skills, sound judgment under time constraints, and the ability to manage high-risk events independently while contributing to broader fraud prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor transaction queues and high-risk events to detect and mitigate fraudulent purchases
  • Evaluate high-risk orders and make timely, accurate approval or cancellation decisions
  • Maintain and optimize fraud analysis models, rules, and decision engines
  • Investigate transaction patterns, emerging threats, and industry trends to identify potential fraud networks
  • Analyze chargeback data to identify missed fraud trends and improve prevention rules
  • Prioritize daily activities and independently manage high-fraud events
  • Communicate investigative findings and emerging risk trends to support prevention strategies
  • Analyze data anomalies and transactional inconsistencies to prevent recurring fraud
  • Handle sensitive customer information and inquiries with professionalism and discretion
  • Assist with developing loss prevention policies, detection controls, and operational procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance when handling data related to investigations

Requirements

  • 3–4\+ years of e-commerce fraud prevention experience, preferably within live event ticketing, entertainment, or digital venues
  • Strong knowledge of live event ticketing fraud detection and prevention
  • Ability to make accurate decisions quickly under time constraints
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and high-volume workloads
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and communicate findings clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Investigative mindset with a high level of discretion and integrity
  • Flexibility to work remote shifts during events, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with fraud detection platforms such as Accertify, Kount, Riskified, or similar technologies

Pay Range and Compensation Package

  • $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
  • Final compensation will be based on experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors
