Position: The Grounds Crew is part of the Operations department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America. Position Summary: The Grounds Crew assist with operational tasks to maintain playing surfaces at the Training Facility. In this part‑time role, you’ll support the daily care, preparation, and upkeep of fields to ensure safe, consistent, and quality conditions for all training activities. This position is primarily based at the Training Facility at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. What You’ll Do: • Support the daily care and maintenance of our playing surfaces, including mowing, watering, string trimming, field painting, cultural practices, and routine turf upkeep • Perform hands-on work to keep fields playable year-round, including snow shoveling, tarp rolling, and other physically demanding tasks to prepare and protect the surface • Maintain surrounding grounds areas and landscaping beds • Assist with field setup and breakdown before and after training sessions, scrimmages, and other events at the Training Facility • Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, tools, and machinery in alignment with team standards and safety practices • Monitor field conditions and proactively flag issues or areas needing attention to help keep the surfaces performing at their best • Jump in where needed to support the Grounds Crew team and perform other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring: • Previous experience in groundskeeping, turf management, or related hands-on work is preferred • Ability to safely lift and move items up to 50 lbs. as part of routine field maintenance tasks • Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in all types of Minnesota weather • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on Training Facility schedules and field needs • A strong teamwork mindset: you’re reliable, communicative, and enjoy collaborating with others to get the job done Compensation & Benefits: Minnesota United FC values the contributions of our team members and is committed to transparency in our compensation practices. The compensation range for this role is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (non-exempt).
