Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Group Sales and DC Power Manager will ignite group revenue growth for D.C. United and DC Power by driving both new business and retention initiatives while leading a high-performing team of three DC Power representatives. The manger will carry personal sales goals for both teams by leveraging deep group sales expertise, strong relationship-building instincts, and a proven track record in sports ticketing to deliver exceptional customer service while gaining hands-on leadership experience. Additionally, this dynamic leader will recruit, train, and develop the DC Power ticket sales staff, championing a culture of energy, accountability, and results.
COMPENSATION
$60,000 + Commission. Anticipated total cash compensation between $80,000 and $100,000 annually.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Group Sales
• Own and grow a personal book of business for D.C. United and DC Power by generating revenue, closing impactful group deals, and modeling top-tier customer service
Coordination
• Collaborate with ticket sales leadership to execute strategic initiatives and maintain alignment, innovation, and a unified approach to group sales success
• Provide timely weekly reporting on sales, pipeline, activity and team progress to the Director of Group Sales
• Contribute to annual and seasonal planning by providing insights that shape DC Power’s vision and long-term growth
• Support additional responsibilities and special projects assigned by the Director of Group Sales to help elevate the department
DC Power Sales Management
• Lead and energize a high-performing DC Power sales team, driving new business and retention while fostering culture of accountability, creativity, and results
• Inspire and elevate the team through consistent coaching, performance check-ins and clear revenue and activity targets that drive excellence
• Deliver impactful weekly training and ongoing skill development to help every representative to exceed their goals
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience with a professional sports team in a high-volume sales environment.
• The selected candidate must pass a background check.
• This position requires limited local travel. If the employee plans use their personal vehicle, they will need to pass a driving record check.
COMPETENCIES (KSAs)
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or sport management.
• Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience with a professional sports team in a high-volume sales environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee a team of three DC Power Sales Reps
SCHEDULE 8:30am- 5:30pm EST flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the season schedule.
