JOB TITLE: Major & Premier Event Booker
REPORTING TO: VP, Operations & Match Day Operations
DEPARTMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Manhattan/Flushing, Queens
POSITION OVERVIEW:
New York City FC is seeking an Etihad Park Major & Premier Event Booker
The Etihad Park Major & Premium Event Booker is responsible for securing a dynamic and profitable calendar of events for the first-ever soccer-specific 25,000-seat stadium in NYC. Etihad Park stadium will include major music concerts, touring productions, cultural events, and non-NYCFC soccer matches. This role identifies, evaluates, and books high quality entertainment; leads all contract negotiations; manages relationships with promoters, agents, and sports organizations; and ensures booked events align with the stadium’s strategic and financial goals.
This is a highly visible, relationship driven position requiring industry knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to balance creativity with business discipline.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Lead and negotiate event contract terms for all major events at Etihad Park
• Ensure all contracts and agreed-upon-terms have been delivered
• Build and sustain strong relationships with promoters, tour managers, and key entertainment industry professionals to drive and expand the sales pipeline.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of future event opportunities.
• Promote Etihad Park to ensure consistent and continuous awareness and relevance through industry listings, association newsletters, and related publications.
• Collaborate with Stadium Operations, Facilities, and other departments as needed to develop the long-term programming strategy to maximize venue utilization and profitability year-round to achieve revenue goals
• Partner with Marketing to develop and execute event promotion strategies to make Etihad Park a highly desired, premier venue destination.
• Stay current with entertainment trends, tour announcements, competitive venue activity, and emerging talent.
• Develop rate card for Community and CITC events held at Etihad Park.
• Seek and complete Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from event promoters ranging from music to sports
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Sports Management, Entertainment Management, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• 8+ years of experience in event booking, talent buying, entertainment management, or related roles at venues, agencies, or promoters.
• Strong understanding of live event financial models, contract law basics, and negotiation principles.
• Established network of relationships within the concert, touring, and/or professional soccer industries preferred.
• Excellent communication, relationship building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and event days.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
• Must be able to work games scheduled which may be at night and on weekends and holidays
COMPENSATION:
This exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $160,000 to $180,000 and is not overtime eligible. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise.
