Job Description
Brentford FC Women are looking for an ambitious Performance & Data Analyst to join their expanding Women's Football department.
This exciting part-time opportunity is ideal for an aspiring analyst looking to accelerate their development within a progressive, data-driven football environment. Working closely with the Head Coach, Performance Lead and Physical Performance Coach, you'll help transform performance data into meaningful insights that enhance player development, support coaching decisions and contribute to the continued growth of the programme.
Operating across training and matchdays, you'll deliver performance analysis, GPS monitoring, video workflows and reporting that provide coaches with timely, actionable insights.
You'll also play an important role in helping Brentford FC Women build scalable analysis systems while contributing ideas that shape the future of performance analysis within the programme.
- Transform performance data into meaningful insights that support coaching and player development.
- Identify trends, performance opportunities and potential risks.
- Produce clear and engaging reports that inform decision-making.
- Promote evidence-based practice throughout the programme.
- Work collaboratively with coaching and performance staff to integrate technical, tactical and physical performance data.
- Support player monitoring through combined GPS, video and football intelligence.
- Deliver insights aligned to coaching objectives and individual development plans.
- Manage GPS operations including player allocation, uploads and quality assurance.
- Coordinate video downloads, uploads and distribution across platforms including Hudl, Veo and Driblab.
- Deliver match coding and post-match reporting.
- Ensure performance information is validated and delivered promptly to coaching staff.
- Manage training GPS systems and player monitoring processes.
- Support training data collection, organisation and reporting.
- Work alongside physical performance staff to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Maximise the use of existing technologies including Hudl, Driblab and GPS systems.
- Improve analysis workflows and reporting processes.
- Explore innovative approaches to performance intelligence and football analytics.
- Contribute to the long-term development of the club's performance insight systems.
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of football performance analysis and data-informed coaching.
- Knowledge of data collection, validation and reporting processes.
- Understanding of training load monitoring and athlete performance.
- Passion for women's football.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and around training and match schedules.
- Postgraduate qualification (or currently studying) in Sport Analytics or Data Science.
- Experience within football or elite sport.
- Knowledge of opposition analysis and live match coding.
- Experience using GPS systems and athlete monitoring technologies.
- Coaching qualifications or coaching experience.
