Revenue Strategy Analyst - Ticketing at Utah Jazz

JOB SUMMARY:
As a part of the Revenue Strategy team for Smith Entertainment Group, the Revenue Strategy Analyst will play a key role in driving the strategic direction of the Revenue Department, with a focus on ticketing for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth. This position will lead data analysis, forecasting, reporting, and business evaluations to identify opportunities for revenue growth and optimize organizational performance. The role will provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to ticket sales and service teams while leveraging multiple analytics and data platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver, an effective communicator, and an analytical thinker with experience working with large datasets to influence business decisions and drive measurable results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct quantitative analysis, market research, and business performance evaluations to support revenue strategy and organizational objectives.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and actionable insights that drive revenue growth and business performance.
- Develop forecasting models, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making across the organization.
- Lead analytical initiatives and partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate business opportunities and measure performance.
- Present insights and data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Manage multiple analytical projects and priorities simultaneously while ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely execution.
- Protect the reputation of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, statistics, math, economics, finance, computer science, or another related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant sports or analytics field.
- Experience with data analytics tools, such as SQL/Python/R.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Domo.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques
- A self-starter who is analytically minded with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
- This person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
