Job Description

The New York Jets are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Production Assistant to join our award-winning Content & Production team. This role is ideal for an emerging content creator who is eager to learn, assist across all areas of production, and grow within a fast-paced, high-performance NFL environment. As a key support member of the production group, this seasonal position contributes to a wide range of initiatives including social content, documentary, studio, broadcast, marketing, community relations, and stadium production. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly coachable, and passionate about developing as a storyteller and production professional. Key Responsibilities Production Support · Assist producers and editors on studio and on-location shoots with players, coaches, staff, and fans. · Support all aspects of production, including camera operation, lighting setup, audio support, grip, set assistance, and general shoot logistics. · Capture practice, press conferences, locker room availability, community events, and game-day coverage as assigned. · Shoot behind-the-scenes and supplemental footage for documentaries, features, and other long-form productions. Editing & Post-Production · Serve as an assistant editor on social content, documentaries, feature pieces, and series, supporting story assembly, logging, selects, and sequence builds. · Edit assigned short-form and supporting content, including teasers, promos, and internal deliverables. · Assist in pulling footage, creating stringers, and preparing elements for broadcast, digital, and internal use. · Update lower thirds, graphics, and basic visual elements for productions as needed. Media Management & Equipment · Log, organize, and tag practice and game footage using internal media management systems. · Assist with packing, maintaining, and organizing production equipment. · Learn and develop fluency with professional camera systems, lighting gear, and audio equipment. Cross-Team Integration · Work closely with producers, editors, and managers to ensure assets are delivered accurately and on deadline. · Take direction well and apply feedback quickly in a high-pressure production environment. · Contribute ideas and creative solutions while continuing to learn best practices across the production team. Qualifications · 1–2 years of experience in a production or media environment (internships and academic experience considered). · Demonstrated interest in shooting, editing, and storytelling across video platforms. · Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro. Familiarity with After Effects and Photoshop is a plus. · Basic understanding of camera systems and production fundamentals; willingness to learn advanced techniques. · Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting. · Comfortable working non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and game days. The salary range for this role: USD $18.00 - $20.00  per hour, depending on the specific qualifications of the successful candidate.  Company benefit programs for seasonal employees include: robust medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k plan participation (after 1000 hours + one year of service) with company-match; PTO, sick time.
